Jetex 2017 NBAA Booth

The National Business Aviation Association celebrated its 70th anniversary last week with the 2017 Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA 2017) in Las Vegas. Naturally, Jetex was there! Here, we take a look back at some of the key happenings over the three-day event.

The Greatest Business Aviation Show on Earth

NBAA 2017 saw around 1,100 exhibitors gather at the Las Vegas Convention Center to showcase their latest products and services at the world’s biggest business aviation event. These included more than one hundred first-time exhibitors. The event attracted over 27,000 delegates, who traveled from all 50 U.S. states, as well as from dozens of countries in every corner of the globe.

Attendees had the opportunity to compare approximately one hundred of the latest business aircraft models in the static display sections, both at the nearby Henderson Executive Airport and the indoor display within the convention center itself. The show is considered the industry’s premier platform for major manufacturers to launch their new aircraft. This year was no exception, with the Bombardier Global 7000Gulfstream G600 and Pilatus PC-24 all making their debuts.

The show also featured several well-received education programs and breakout sessions. These included the NBAA National Safety Forum, where top industry experts and representatives from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) shared the latest updates. The third and final day of the show saw over 1,000 students participate in the “Careers in Business Aviation” event, which presented a unique opportunity to network with potential employers at the College/University Roundtable meeting.

70 Years in Service of Business Aviation

The NBAA’s 70th anniversary was a recurring theme throughout the show. The outdoor static display of aircraft at Henderson Executive Airport also paid tribute to the association’s birthday with a special “70th Anniversary Row,” which included several vintage aircraft from earliest days of business aviation.

Thank You for Making NBAA 2017 a Success

Jetex would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who visited our booth over the show and helped make NBAA-BACE 2017 a great event. We hope you all enjoyed the show as much as our team!

We were also delighted to note that the “Fund an Angel” auction event,  for which Jetex is a proud sponsor, raised a total of $435,000 for the Corporate Angels Network cancer support charity, a very worthy cause.

Next year’s NBAA-BACE will take place in Orlando, Florida from October 16 – 18. We’re looking forward to it already!.
