Beijing China Banner

Sitting under cover of three mountains sits the capital city of the Republic of China. This history filled city also homes one of our three Operation Centers and our Beijing Location.

The old, yet modern, city of Beijing has been dubbed as the capital of the country six times by different dynasties and governments. The city has had many names before it was settled that the 2nd most populous city in China would be called Beijing.

The city has plenty of stories to tell with its vast history. This traditional, yet modern, city homes not one or two, but seven UNESCO World Heritage sites – from the Great Wall, the longest wall in the world, to the Forbidden City, the largest palace in the world, to the Summer Palace, with the world’s largest imperial garden, and more.

Beijing isn’t just a hub for history and ancient stories – the city has so much more to offer. The city has over 90 universities which rank among the best schools in China. Beijing is also an economic, technology, and entrepreneurial hub. The Zhongguancun area is China’s version of Silicon Valley – the center of technology entrepreneurship and innovation.

With this city being the second largest city in the country, by population, it only makes sense that its main airport is busy. The Beijing Capital International Airport [IATA: PEK, ICAO: ZBAA] expanded in 2008 for the 2008 Summer Olympics. The airport’s Terminal 3 is the second largest terminal in the world. The building itself is the sixth largest building in the world, covering a total of 1480 hectares [~3657 Acres] of land. This means that the airport is always busy and takes a while to get around, but don’t worry because we can get you there faster.
