The Maldives have lifted travel restrictions on 15 July 2020 and are open to all global travelers, including United States citizens. Maldives does not require any quarantine upon arrival at Velana International Airport in Male, nor any proof to show a traveler has tested negative for COVID-19. However, tourists can only stay on resort islands and must spend the duration of their holiday in one registered establishment. Upon arrival, they also need to fill out a health declaration card and they will receive a 30-day tourist visa.
