Professional golfers from all over the world are heading to Mexico to compete in the 2020 World Golf Championship, set to take place at the Club de Golf Chapultepec on 20-23 February 2020.

1. MAIN AIRPORT

For private jet operations, the most convenient airport is Toluca International Airport (TLC, MMTO), a port of entry equipped with modern facilities for crew and passengers. Officially known as Licenciado Adolfo López Mateos International Airport, MMTO is a 24/7 airport that does not require slots and Prior Permission Required (PPR).

NOTE: These are no parking restrictions, but Runway 15/33 will be closed from 0600 to 1200 UTC and 1600 to 1900 UTC on February 08, 15, 22 and 29.

MMTO is not accessible via public transportation. However, rental cars, authorized taxis and airport shuttles can be arranged to/from the airport.  4. FLIGHT PERMITS, CUSTOMS AND IMMIGRATION

Landing authorization is required to operate to MMTO. Part 135 flights must also carry a Mexican flight permit.
Flights from South America and the Caribbean must make a Customs stop at Cozumel International Airport (CZM, MMCZ) or Tapachula International Airport (TAP, MMTP). Jetex can arrange the applicable permits on your behalf, if required.

NOTE: All international aircraft operating under Part 91 and Part 135 flights to Mexico may be subject to random ramp checks, in compliance with instructions from Mexico’s Civil Aviation Federal Agency (AFAC). 5. VISA

Aircrew and passengers who hold valid United States visas are exempted from obtaining Mexican visas, although this is still subject to nationality. 6. SECURITY

Popular tourist destinations are routinely patrolled by police and security personnel. However, travelers are advised to exercise increased caution outside tourist areas. Stay vigilant and watch out for petty crimes which may happen in both tourist and non-tourist areas.

7. HOTELS

8. CLIMATE

The weather in Mexico City in February is generally pleasant and comfortable, with an average daytime temperature of 75.2°F (24°C). At night, the weather becomes cooler, with an average temperature of 41°F (5°C).

9. VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

All travelers are advised to have measle vaccinations and routine vaccines such as flu shot and chickenpox vaccine. Hepatitis A and typhoid vaccinations are also recommended.
