Headed to Rome for business or pleasure? The Jetex Rome FBO at the Ciampino—G.B. Pastine International Airport (CIA/LIRA), is a gateway befitting a city so rich in art, architecture, and culinary magnificence. The terminal is new and the passenger lounge is modern and comfortable with a sleek Italian interior.

A Convenient and Flexible Point of Entry

The Rome Ciampino Airport airspace opens at 4,00 utc and closes at 21,30 utc with no extensions allowed. The GA terminal opens at 5,00 utc and closes at 21,30 utc. However, staff and crew have 24/7 access to the ramp for flight preparation (if an aircraft wants to take off at 4,01 utc, we can enter the ramp for flight preparation.) State flights (not diplomatic), ambulance and rescue flights are not subject to any restrictions. For private jet flights, the Ciampino FBO is your best option in the area.

The Location is Unbeatable

The Ciampino FBO is about 15 KM southeast of Rome and less than a 30-minute drive from some of the world’s most famous attractions. Here are just a few:

  • Colosseum is a 20-minute drive.
  • Trevi fountain is a 25-minute drive.
  • Saint Peter’s Square is a 30-minute drive
  • Spanish steps are a 25-minute drive.
  • Main shopping area –Via Condotti—is a 25-minute drive

For Your Aircraft

The Ciampino Airport has a runway length of 7242 feet (2203 Meters) and can accommodate all types of aircraft.  Aircraft maintenance and service is also available on site. Jet A fuel is delivered by 3 different providers, which will cover any fuel carnet or fuel release. Avgas is not available at this location.

Do you need a Slot?

Only charter flights with a seat configuration of 19 seats or more require a slot. If you need one, the Jetex team can help.

Permits

You no longer need a charter permit for each trip to Italy. Annual blanket charter permits are now available and can be renewed annually. You’ll be issued a permit number and a listing of all the aircraft on your application, as well as an approved list of Italian airports. With this permit, all aircraft in your flight department is good to fly without additional notification needed. Be aware that the permit approval takes 20 days. The Jetex team can apply for PPR, which is mandatory for every aircraft.

The FBO

The newly refurbished FBO, located in the main hall of the new general aviation terminal. It offers a modern and comfortable area for passengers and crew.  Amenities include complimentary drinks, water, coffee, free wi-fi and an online TV screen.

Travel Guidelines During COVID-19

To ensure the safety and well-being of travelers, Jetex Rome will:

  • Request the use face masks inside the terminal;
  • Invite arriving and departing passengers to use dedicated lanes and entrances;
  • Request arriving and departing passengers to pass temperature checks;
  • Request arriving and departing passengers to complete a self-declaration form stating their reason for travel. The form is available at the police office located between the arrival and departure areas;
  • Request passengers, aircrew and airport staff to maintain social distancing.

For convenience of travelers, disinfectant gel dispensers and passenger safety kits are available inside the terminal. We apologize that access to the VIP Lounge is temporarily restricted.
