This fascinating destination has a rich history dating back over 1,100 years. As the capital of the Kingdom of Bohemia, Prague served as the main residence of several Roman Emperors. With its cobbled streets, ancient chapels and breathtaking architecture, the city has a unique atmosphere which is sure to leave visitors enchanted.

Prague contains some of the world’s most pristine and varied architecture. A wide range of building styles can be found throughout the city, including structures from the Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Art Nouveau, neoclassical and modern eras. According to Guinness World Records, the city is home to the largest ancient castle in the world. Dating back to the ninth century, Prague Castle covers over 18 acres of land.

Some of the city’s most famous landmarks include the Charles Bridge, St. Vitus Cathedral, St. George’s Basilica, Old Town Square, the Prague Astronomical Clock, Petrin Hill and the Vyšehrad (upper castle). Visitors can explore more than ten world-class museums and numerous theaters, galleries and historical exhibits. The Dancing House, Letohradek Hvezda (Star Villa), Wenceslas Square, Wallenstein Palace and Municipal House are also popular tourist attractions.

Prague welcomes more than six million international visitors annually, making it the fifth most visited European city after London, Paris, Istanbul and Rome. It was also named as the sixth best global destination in the Trip Advisor 2016 traveler’s choice awards.

LKPR caters to General Aviation (GA) and can be used as an Airport of Entry (AoE). The airport is operational 24/7, with no restrictions on customs and immigration or FBO facilities. Vaclav Havel Airport is fully equipped for all ground handling services. Slot booking is mandatory, however Prior Permission Required (PPR) is not necessary.
